Context
Our client had spent a career inside enterprise SaaS companies running onboarding and implementation projects. They knew the problem from the inside, which is the best possible starting point for a product.
Problem
Enterprise SaaS onboarding gets run on documents, Excel trackers and general-purpose task tools. None of them were built for it, and the gaps show in predictable ways. Nobody can see the whole account at once. Product, customer success and engineering each hold a different version of the truth. Use cases the customer bought get lost between the sales promise and the implementation plan. And by the time an account is visibly in trouble, it has usually been in trouble for weeks.
What was missing was a single source of truth with contextual visibility — one place where everyone working an account could see status, ownership and risk without asking.
Approach
The client wanted an MVP first, and they were right to. Onboarding workflows vary enough between SaaS companies that guessing at the full feature set before real usage would have wasted months.
We scoped a minimum viable product against a fixed timeline, then built it. The work happened entirely remotely, through the COVID-19 pandemic, with continuous collaboration rather than handoffs. When the MVP validated, the client came back to us to scale it — which is the outcome an MVP is supposed to produce.
What we built
Phase one — MVP
- Customer onboarding workflows
- Product management and roadmapping
- Use case and task management
- JIRA integration, so engineering work stayed where engineering already lived
Phase two — scale
- Status visibility using RAG indicators (red, amber, green) across accounts
- Charts and visual reporting for contextual insight at a glance
- Navigation and interface work to keep the product usable as scope grew
Results
The MVP was delivered to specification and validated the product. The client then engaged us to scale it, and the platform has found acceptance in the B2B SaaS market.
Metric slot — needs client approval. Weeks from kickoff to MVP, accounts managed on the platform, or reduction in onboarding time for their customers. This is our flagship B2B SaaS proof and it is the case study most in need of a real number.
In their words
“It was a pleasure working with IRA Softwares on some projects where we had to complete the projects efficiently with good quality. Over the years, Nittile has built a team of very professional and talented developers serving international clients — strongly recommended!”
